as for the reunion, I picked treecko. my friend we'll call Elton John, he picked torchic only because he wanted to counter me because I was dating his sister. we had a rule of battling after every gym battle. i would always manage to fuck up his blaziken with My shiny Gardevoir. he was very jealous of my Gardevoir.
when we finally beat emerald 100%, frontier, pokedex, and secret steven, we had a final battle. I just barely BTFO'd his blaziken with Gardevoir, landing me the win.
when platinum dropped, I transferred ALL of my pokemon to platinum, while john decided to RELEASE all of his, except for his gengar who he traded up to platinum. the year and a half of fighting that blaziken made it grow on me, and I really miss that blaziken. seeing that art made me wonder how happy I would be to see blaziken one more time.
