During the next Nintendo Direct there will be some Pokémon news.
This includes an announcement for RBG remake for the Switch. This game will be fully compatible with Home and allow for the transfer of some missing Pokémon from the National Dex in Sword and Shield. The game will include all original 151 Pokémon, their evolutionary family evolutions, regional variations, mega evolution, and new gigantamax forms. The game will be very similar to Red/ Fire Red, with a few modern changes. Leaf will be a second rival if the player chooses a male character. Regional variants will be available via in game trades and on the Sevii Islands. Which will include the new legendary birds. There will also be a Mr. Fuji story line centered around mega evolution. A Spikey eared Pichu will be a pre-order bonus. Games will not be backwards compatible with home, once you transfer they are gone forever.
