But they forgot that they didn't build up to it at all during Sword and Shield so they sloppily added Macros Cosmos, made Oleana go mental for no reason and then give Rose the most asinine plan possible that even Leon points out how stupid it is.
Honestly, the "plot" should have been left in the postgame because then you could at least point out that the Pokemon randomly going Dynamax in the stadiums is Eternatus's doing and then tweak a few things here and there and have it segway into the Swordward and Shieldbert segment.
