I played pokemon before I could read so I thought of critical hit as circular hit for quite a while.
Also can never remember is scarmory is gen 2 or 3, all the mons that don't have their secondary type as a first form trip me up (starmie, slowpoke, ect)

I thought that grass types resisted fighting because of Bulbasaur.
I also have a memory of seeing an item called "Devolution Spray" in my sister's Red version. What freaked me out is that years later I found out it was a TCG item, but I didn't know anybody who played or collected it at the time.

The concept of the Rock and Ground types separated is a bit silly and completely pointless in my opinion, calmly both types could be one and be called as "Earth". That would be better for mons that have unnecesaries x4 weaknesses.

I see what you're trying to do but it's really not the same. There are a shitload of Rock and Ground types with very similar themes. Very few Grass and Bug types are all that similar other than the ones that are already Bug/Grass typed.

Not really? Rock-types almost universally either incorporate actual rocks into their designs or are revived fossils, while Ground-types after gen I or II are monsters that have a heavy association with burrowing, some kind of soil (counting mud and sand as types of soil), or the land itself. Still can't work out why Cubone/Marowak are Ground, unless it's something to do with burial of the dead Not many Ground-types that aren't Rock-types would fit in the other type, and the only Rock-type that would make more sense as a Ground-type from a lore and design perspective is Terrakion (which is probably only Rock to distinguish itself from Landorus).

Ground in general has always been the weakest type, thematically, for me. There have always been weird shit like Nidoking, Cubone, Rhyhorn, and Donphan were you sorta-kinda get why they're ground type, but it's a pretty weak justification.

I only found out very recently that Electric doesn't resist Water. I don't know how, I've been playing the games for years. I guess part of it is that I never really used Electric-types in general, the other part being that I never sent out any Water-types against Electric Pokemon for obvious reasons.
