She needs MP refresh on powder snow before she'll be useful. Also she needs to get lucky and proc her passive a shit ton of times to actually be capable of tanking. And even then you don't want to waste sync off her because Mega Glalie still only exists to spam 1 MP bar moves and die. You could have sync'd some other pokemon instead. I think her grid will need to have something like Red's Propulsion but under a different name to really ever give her a merit to mega'ing her glalie.

Any of them. Lucky Skills aren't specific to any character.

I was only saying that she helps spammers through regen healing and can atleast spam a 1 meter move to build Sync faster for Red. Pikachu's Potions wont always last forever unless you're constantly resetting or getting lucky with refreshes, or if you just dont have the sync orbs for him. She's just a substitute, same with Cheren. Of course she would be better with a grid, but we dont know how long that will take. Cheren will probably get his sooner than her and will end up being a better sub in the meantime.

I think you'll be resetting even more with Glacia, to be honest. We'll probably get MP refresh on Powder Snow, maybe Move Refresh on Regen All too, but her kit is just so chock full of RNG in it (fortuitous + the RNG off those refreshes) that one bad roll will probably fuck you and make you want to reset. That and her 'aggro' grabbing skill still sucks. I honestly think even Skyla is a better sub than pikachu, because skyla has good bulk, natural speed, haste so she can't be slowed and a 1 bar move in aerial ace. Though I do see the merit in powder snow's aoe. I dunno.

Depends if you're fine with letting sygna Blue, Leaf, or Cynthia slip, on top of Wally or Dawn. Sygna Elesa's a great investment, not just for being OP with Red, but for speeding up the sync grid grind, and even if you do get dupes in Poke Fairs, Sync Lv 2-3 SS Elesa becomes like another Mew dodger/tank

I really wanted to keep her Chikorita unevolved because the way it waggles its leaf on its head is adorable as fuck, but I also couldn't refuse the gems and stats buff from evolving. What a shame. Meganium is the worst of the Chikorita line when both Chikorita and Bayleaf have so much more personality.

All reasonable argument points, anon. We'll just have to see how they handle the grids. I think Cheren would most likely become 2nd place behind Pikachu if he gets a refresh for his trainer move, since its regen and fills the move gauge, and having Full Heal is useful for BV. Being able to flinch also helps him if he gets an increase to apply it. The same would go for Glacia if she gets increase odds to freeze.

MC pikachu is a weird unit, 334 special attack at max level is really nice for a f2p default unit but his godawful moves made him worthless until the sync grid turned him into the best healer in the game

The rat can technically still be a pretty good striker. I think that's the charm of the grid, though. It gives syncs more flexibility with their roles. Like how Flannery can be a MP Refreshing sync move builder that burns, a baton passer on death in co-op, or a high damage burn synergy tech. And that's just Torkoal's potential at 2/5.

Fuck the sync orb system. It apparently takes on average 2 full days of non-stop grinding to reach 750 sync orbs. What the fuck is wrong with DeNA? And they're fucking required for the Battle Villa shit too. Which is on a fucking timer to boot. How can you like this?

Lucky skills can give her Clearheaded to prevent confusion, but once you're able to 3/5 Iris you should want to go with Lessen Confusion 9 instead if you want to focus her grid on Outrage. She'll still get the boosted power from being confused but Lessen Confusion 9 drops the chance to hit in confusion to about 3%.

The co-op levels that you're concerned about:

There are only 2 of them, unlock at Battle Villa level 20 and 25.

Unlike the game mode in Battle Villa, they are just like normal levels. No time limits once unlocked. No 2nd-time reward so you only need to beat them ever once. That guy beat these 2 levels and thought that they are not more difficult than the old EX levels, if not easier.

Rewards:

13 scrolls to unlock potential in total for completing both single and multi BV, so presumably, you could use them on Mew and 2 other 5-stars, for example.

And a couple of biscuits to test your luck. Sorry, the drop of biscuits is limited.

it's a decent venture. i got 3/5 zard in 35k gems. it depends on how much you have and are willing to spend. there won't be any fairs this month so you would have time to save a bit even if you dropped 40k. it probably won't be crept for a while because it's fucking red and masters is generally good about creep considering the shelf life of many launch and free units

Hardly an exploit, since the game has a pop-up text that tells you about it, but you can quit a villa battle at any time and it'll be as if nothing happened (both your and the opponent's teams will be restored back to whatever hp/mp they had at the start of the fight). People have been using this to restart whenever they get bad RNG or a result they don't like (and with enough patience you can keep restarting until you get good RNG for things like Pikachu potion MP recovery)

believe it or not anon, it is possible to make content that is both challenging and does not take 2 weeks @ 30 mins a day to complete. for example, increasing the number of pairs brought to villa run, increasing the difficulty of some of the battles, then reducing the total number of battles to say 5 or 10. Every run can have random trainers and typings. you wipe, your run is resets. This way you can play as much villa as you want, whenever you want without it being "solved" because no lifers mapped it out (which happened anyways even though DENA tried to stop that)

There is no effective difference between a lot of smaller villas and 1 large villa with daily reset because that daily reset completely disconnects the previous day's trials. It does however bring downsides being that you have to play everyday, and that you can only play once instead of multiple times. Battle Villa was a pleasant surprise. We really had a second dark age
last six weeks or so with pointless Sync Grid farming and 99% auto content etc. so I'm overall happy with BV, though I think one change is needed: Removal of the match reset ""strategy"".
Cheesing buff/potion procs and evasion dodges is not good gameplay and removes the RNG drawback it is supposed to have by doing grindy resets.
Instead they should increase the number of pairs you can use daily to 12.
I would rather play more and in different ways rather than redoing stuff with Oak/Red/Potion dispenser.

Ignore the bug weakness and pummel through it with Mewtwo.
General rule of thumb: Use Red, and Giovanni, Solgaleo and Lance if they hit for super effective. All other strikers just don't really hit that hard or in a sustainable way.
Everyone else other than these four main strikers should be relevant Supports/Healer/Tanks/Techs.

Nobody is forcing you to "cheat". If you want to play "honorably" then don't reset. Simple as that. I on the other will be resetting when my 90% accuracy move misses twice in a row while my opponent crits me consecutively. Seems like a good trade off to me.

Getting critted, flinched or not getting a proc or dodging is supposed to be a part of the game. If it happens it is a shame, but you have 3 more pairs you can use instead every day Alternative is too reset a match and do it all again.
It is the better alternative, not that hard to grasp.

Yes, this is fine for a "normal" pokémon game, since both opponents are essentially on an even playing field. But for this, not so much. Enemies are given tons of unfair advantages such as stat and debuff resistances and can use a variety of moves while you are heavily limited. Increasing the amount of sync pairs you can bring with you won't do much if your "good pairs" are already dead.

yeah but it works really well, pretty much as fast as if you were mashing by hand
starts with your middle pair and tries to use any of the two buffs, then switches to your left pair, tries to sync by tapping the button a bunch of times, then does the top left attack
repeat until victory

I could probably expand it to queue something up from the right pair too to make it get sync slightly faster but I'm happy with how it is now

"In a pinch" is getting to <33% max health. If you start the match there you need to manually get it above that to trigger it again.

it's so straightforward I think it's intentional

and you'd want to do it if you get flinched, critted, don't get your evasion procs on mew etc., or just want to fuck around with meme strats and see what works and what not

You do it to get potion/buff refreshes/other RNG stuff.

Yes, Red and Oak are going to be there for some time it seems, but Pikachu can literally just be called "potion dispenser" and will be replaced as soon as superior potion dispensers get their sync grid for potion refresh
