i literally cannot remember a single track from this game
why is its soundtrack so lacklustre?

You should get your ears checked anon. Anistar's theme was great, same with Lysandre's theme and the Legend theme, and that Snowbelle theme is good. Oh, and then there's AZ's theme, which is brilliant. And that's just off the top of my head.

Funnily enough it’s the other way for me, XY has the most memorable OST imo and I can remember almost every track. Really lively and beautiful music.

Third Post, Best Post.

It's probably the Mainline game i've played the least, but it has my 3rd favorite soundtrack behind DPPT and RBY. For as much as it gets posted, Snowbelle City is one of the best Town Themes in the franchise. It has a couple of lusy tracks, but it's overall very good.

Route 15 was X/Y's obligatory masterpiece route theme, comparable to Route 10 in B/W.
