Could they please just announce the games already or atleast the release dates? Like we know damn well they're happening but I just want to know when they'll be available for purchase. 16 damn years, I WANT MY SINNOH REMAKES.

Not happening for a good while. They didn't announce ORAS till May '14 after XY's October '13 release and USM was announced June '17 after SM's November '16 release. Best guestimate is June again, if they're coming this year.

Because since you were born, experienced Platinum, then grew to be a bitter manchild, there has been millions of children born who did not get that experience and who will not return to obsolete aged hardware to play them, much less be able to stick through how goddamn fucking SLOW the games are. But they'll ABSOLUTELY buy a remake, updated for current times, with the same basic run-through you and I saw on the DS. That's why they remake shit, to share their older work with new players.

They're definitely not coming this year since the dlc is throughout the year and they're treating that as if they're third installments for this gen. They'll probably be announced for next year for sure.

DLC is up to Fall, new games generally launch Winter/Holiday period. Still in play, besides, with an upper version a non-issue this Gen and Dexit, there won't be a similar impact to the paired game sales as in past Gens.

Are you expecting them this year anon? 2020 is definitely DLC year, I don't think they're gonna promote two main lines at once. If these remakes are really coming they will be released winter 2021 to celebrate DP 15th anniversary and pokémon 25th year

Yes bitter mouth breather, because skipping a sequel game is completely analogous to skipping out a whole generation in their remake cycle. They'll likely be as much of a fucking mess as Swoosh but you can rely on them to take the opportunity to pocket easy cash.

Seriously, are people expecting a remake of this two games within the 3 years before the new gen coming in 2022? Is it possible for them to developed the remakes within this 3 years or they have a separate development team working on that while the others focused on doing the next gen games???

They will undoubtedly be shit, rushed messes wrapped in all the nu-pokemon shitness. And it distracts Game Freak from actually producing a real game. Why would you be in support of this? As a pokemon fan, these remakes should be resisted.

LeafGreen/FireRed and SoulSilver/HeartGold were justified in existing because you couldn't interact with their hardware. Getting all of the pokemon in your latest game was something people cared about. Now getting all the pokemon into one game has been artificially prohibited. There's no reason for a gen 4 remake to exist apart from that they did it in the past. You can still play all of the gen 4 games on a 3DS. They are still somewhat able to interact with the current gen.

Why not? They've got DLC that was pretty clearly already being worked on as it was announced only a few months after release of the games. I'd be amazed if they were going straight from Sw/Sh 2019, DLC 2020 into next gen 2021~
