Good morning everyone. I've been hanging out on /vp/ for a little while now and I just wanted to share a thought that formed in my mind a while ago.

Seeing all these threads about "your favorite pokémon" or "your perfect team", I realized that I've seen every pokémon mentioned here at least once. Of course there are the ones that come up often, the popular ones, the unpopular ones, but each one is loved by at least a few people.

And that makes me very happy.

Really, I'm happy to see so many different tastes. When I witness a team made up entirely of pokémon that I don't like or don't care about, I smile and think "wow, that's incredible, we have completely different tastes", and I often feel like writting a little message to let the person know how amazing I find it and how happy it makes me feel, but I'm always afraid it might be mistaken for trolling.

For example, I don't like dragon pokemon. I find most of them to be relatively uninteresting. But when I see people here who love them because they remind them of the Kaijus they loved as children, I think it's great.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if you're reading this message, no matter what your tastes are, whether you like pokémon that everyone thinks are ugly, uninteresting, useless, or whether you have very mainstream tastes, that's okay, and you, as an individual, are part of a whole where your personal choices make sense. And as such, you are valid, you don't have to justify loving this one or that one, neither to others nor to yourself. Do you think he's cute? Funny? Classy? Have you seen an illustration where he's cool and made you like him even though you've never played him in any of the games? I think it's great and I'm, unironically, very happy for you.

I know there's going to be the usual replies calling me a faggot, but I know that even those who'll write this will be, deep down, happy to know that someone here at least doesn't judge them for their choice, and even encourages them.
