It's a series developed for kids retard. From Tagiri's reasons as to why he created it, to Iwata realising it from his first day helping Game Freak unfuck their game, to him again re-affirming its essence in conversation with Game Freak for the release of Black ad White, to them still stating this fact to journalists worldwide.
Always has been, always will be. Only thing that changed is the adults ageing out nowadays have ubiquitous internet access and a habit of crying at people until they get their way, neither of which Game Freak care about, else they'd have started making the games harder for them, instead of easier to fit into children's attention spans and lifestyles easier.

But as the series progressed they moved out of our world as they codified theirs so became cofortable with doing such (and remember, you went into a cave full of high level pokémon to catch a genetically altered creature that was the most powerful in existence created with the power of science, in Red too).

Now add in the fact that the game has barely any postgame content without the DLC, and you can't access the GTS (which we've had for free since Diamond & Pearl) and that's a huge problem. At least Sun & Moon, while not a GOOD game, at least felt like a FULL game without Ultra. So it's really $45 compared to $106, since for that $106 you're paying for Sw&Sh, you're only getting what you would have got with the base version of older games. Add in the fact that SwSh is on a far more powerful console than Sun & Moon, AND Sun & Moon weren't great to begin with, and we have every right to complain.

Are the Gamefreak defenders the same people who defended EA over Battlefront II, defended Bethesda over 76, and are now defending Blizzard over Reforged? The brainwashed consumers who are fine with literally paying more for less?

Cool, they're allowed to. The devs see the games as primarily for children (changing how they designed maps as kids couldn't navigate them as easily being a key indicator of this) though. Helps the actual creator of the games still works at the studio, his buddies who set up the studio and did a lot of the nuts-and-bolts work on Gen I still work there too with incredibly influential positions within the hirearchy and are hand-picking the people who understand this concept the clearest to become the next curators of the games to continue this ethos.
If you want an adult-focused pokémon, learn to code and try and make one yourself, Game Freak just aren't interested and the other rights holders are savvy enoungh not to risk killing the golden goose at this stage.

Anyways, nobody is talking about being unable to complete the Pokédex. It's funny how paypigs turn to that argument when it suits their purpose, but argue that completing the pokedex is for idiots when it doesn't (the '1 pokemon = 1 content' argument). The issue is that the postgame is locked behind an additional $30 purchase. At least before you were never obligated to buy both Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald, you could just buy Emerald and you'd have the definitive gen III experience, no strings attached aside from having to have friends to complete the pokedex.

I was, I disregarded the retards crying for muh emerald when it was a Ruby/Sapphire remake and using HGSS unironically as why it should have happened, when the reason it didn't was because the base RS game was far larger than the base GS game (in essence, they needed to put Crystal's content in, to expand on the 2MB game they made in Gold/Silver, while they had enough content in Ruby/Sapphire's base game to remake with their new additions).
This still isn't crying about graphics, trees, or any of the other bullshit you said they were whinging about though.

Nah i disagree. The ting is that before XY GF had severeal games that felt unfinished and/or were messy but usually GF was able to improve it with remakes, third games, sequels etc. And XY brought a ton new ideas and features for Pokemon games. The bad thing is that after XY every game felt unfinished or lazy. XY in many ways feels like a bridge. It came on the back of one of the greatest entries in the series (BW2) and it brought a bag full of new toys (3d, new type, mega evolution, customization, new ways to interact with your Pokemon such as amie etc) but... then GF started to give up on challenge, post game, dungeons and so on, more stuff as the games progressed over the years

This is where we don't seem to agree. XY did not really bring any new ideas or features, it's the same old formulaic Game Boy shit with slightly animated 3D models standing in for sprites and a few tack-ons like a new type and a half-heartedly implemented petting simulator. It's probably one of the most half-assed 3D transitions in history for a big franchise like this, and SS is more of the same kind of half-assed shit.

Because the new players to the series haven't met the kanto crew anon, but as they were the ones who ensure Pokémon became what it is today, SMALL fucking wonder they're showing the newbies what the fuck it is. Now, there's not even any incentive for developers to compress anything at all because players will buy a 100GB game just as fast as they will a 5GB game. Dude you're replying to's got it in one, they were able to implement more into RS than they were into GS due to having a greater filesize to work with, meaning when it came to remaking RS, they didn't need to scrape Emerald for content, like they needed to scrape crystal for content to pad out HGSS.

They have been hearing the same criticisms about the game since months BEFORE the game came out. Now it's been months since it came out and it's old news. The game sold gangbusters, it was extremely profitable. They have always had the money and resources, but a new angle on the situation is now they have had TIME as well. If they at all gave a shit about what people like us think about the games than they could have fixed them. They could have added all of the Pokemon into the games by now. Even by the time both paid DLC packages hit all of the Pokemon still will not be in the games.

If this is not absolute proof that they don't give a shit I don't know what is. They've done everything in their power to just continually ignore fan outcry for half a year now and are going to continue doing it despite having every opportunity not to. It's not a matter of whether or not they care anymore. That issue is all but settled, there isn't anything more they can do to tell us they don't give a shit other than just outright saying it directly and even then people would still defend them.
