Gou will probably have all three at different stages. Once he has a Cinderace, he’ll catch a Grookey and it’ll be his goofy little partner/Piachu’s friend until it fully evolves and then he’ll catch a Sobble. Or vice versa.

Pretty much this. It doesn't even feel like they're in a different region most of the time and it destroys any sense of adventure of scale of the world. It used to take these characters days to walk from one town to the next and now they can just go from Kanto to Unova like it's right down the street.

This anime is focused on fully evolved Pokémon for the most part. Ash caught a Dragonite and soon a Gengar. Gou has a Darmanitan and Golurk now. Team Rocket has their gacha crap, big legendaries have plot relevance, Leon and Gigantamax are huge draws. The starters will all fully evolve if they wanna advertise their new forms

Dragonair learning how to fly and eventually evolving could have been a nice character arc, but instead it learns how to fly and evolves before Ash even catches it.

They don't want to have to actually write arcs or training scenes. That's too much effort for PM.

I personally believe all 3 Starters are going to evolve to their Final Stages in the anime if only because they ALL have G-Max Forms that need to be showcased in some capacity (and all 3 of them are probably gonna get their own episodes dedicated to that) and I doubt some rando is gonna show them off.

Gay can show off G-Max Cinderace.

Doesn't matter whichever one Ass or Koharu gets, G-Max Inteleon and G-Max Rillaboom will be shown off eventually down the line

I'm especially curious to see how they pull this off in the anime. Especially G-Max Inteleon. The Pokemon franchise has a pretty bad history with Guns. (Octillary and Remoraid literally had to be redesigned for even slightly resemblaning them and of course the infamous banned episode)
