Infestation, Hypnosis, power swap, flex

strat is basically to power swap to make the opponent weak, Infestation so they can't swap out, hypnosis to immobilize the partner. Hypnosis missing just gives speed boost to use hypnosis first next turn. Calm mind in 4th move slot and then power swapping to a partner pokemon is something I'm trying, but I love Orbeattle as a control mon and he's probably my favorite so far from gen 8

He's a really fun bro and the first Galar mon I caught so I initially thought the rest of the dex would turn out awesome. I was mostly wrong but Gen 8 is pretty good I think actually.

I first tried using calm mind to set up and sweep but its so predictable. I really like my new set with hypnosis. It fucks people up when it works and I have the choice of Hypnosis, Infest, or PowerSwap turn one so its not even predictable in rematches

I don't use the GMax. I mostly will use Gmax Centiscorch. I really like the control of having moves that prevent my opponents from switching out.

If you use Gmax for the gravity then there's a whole new world of possibilities. I haven't farmed a GMax version or tried it in showdown though.

This thing has a wild support movepool. Recover, U-Turn, Sticky Web, etc. Maybe have it be some kind of Fighting/Ground pivot?

I like Uturn for it. It's very defensive and slow enough that it can tank the hit that turn and give a safe switch in for something else. And that is great to have on Orbeetle since he can Sticky web then Uturn out.

I think Orbeetle is part of the gen 8 meta, people just haven't discovered it yet.

Max speed, Psychic, Hypnosis, Sticky Web. Pair it with Gothitelle in doubles and use Gmax Gravitas + Hypnosis. You'll trap both opponents, have a highly accurate sleep move, and sticky web too. It's amazing for unprepared opponents.
