It didn't brick your Switch but it could corrupt memory cards if they were formatted as exFAT
Any Switch game that saved a lot of data had that problem. Smash Ultimate did it too

I see, and if part of the issue was that SwSh saved liberally if Auto-Save was enabled (Smash Ultimate also Saves frequently) casing more opportunity for corruption then the average game?
