Take umbreon for example. A lot of dark Pokémon are thematically associated to literal blackness and have the "evil" type given to them. types are not just one thing.
Fairy: light cute justice tricksters deceivers magical etc
Psychic: esp intelligence cosmic alien healing etc
Ghost: phantoms gas shadows spirits
You just need to fill one of the many synonyms meanings for the type to be the said type.
