I suppose he's both low-functioning autistic and schizophrenic. Leaf is a delusion his mind came up with 16 or so years ago to deal with the stress (right now he's around 25). And like any schizophrenic, he won't listen to anything because no logic exists for him. Every time you say something like "Red is a videogame character, you're not him" or "Leaf doesn't exist in real world", he deflects it with non-sensical replies such as "you don't know me, shut up" and repeats them until you leave.
I don't think this community ever saw a more severe case of pure insanity.
