I'd make a joke about FF7's remake, but that's more depressing than anything. At least DX has new Pokemon and features, but it's no Super Star Ultra either. At least it's not Deep Strange Journey either. Sometimes less is more, if they're going to fuck the more up. I'm sure you'd be bitching if the shiny Celebi from Exporers showed up just to shill for the new movie, for example.

At least LA's remake uses it's new buttons well. It also replaces the amusing photography sidequest with a dungeon maker which people wanted for years now, so that's a sidegrade. As a comparison to the PMD remake, both have bonus content from the previous version (Color dungeon/downloadable dungeon) and a little extra expansion (more Nintendo statues/more Pokemon) so they've put in some effort.

While there are more Pokemon than the original games, there's also far less than there were in Super or even Time/Darkness/Sky. There aren't even any Alolan/Galarian variants unless they decide to patch them in.

I absolutely hate how the world looks like adorable watercolor but all of the Pokemon look ripped from SwSh
Either the world should have been realistic or all Pokemon should have been minimalistic versions of themselves
This game looks like what a bad mashup of a baroque wind quartet piece and j-pop would sound like: Ill-fitting and uncomfortable

Everything about megas just hurts at this point. I know when they were first revealed everyone was all "we DIGIMON now!", but I ended up liking them as a way to revitalize some old pokemon. Now all those dreams are dead and we get gigmax and zmoves. I really do want them back.
