Lando's design is very unappealing so nobody actually wanted to be using it but they felt forced to by the meta

The design is generic as fuck, completely souless design, only saved by the God-tier type that it otherwise would've been mediocre without. I guess everyone just loves to fuck birds or something, but there have been far better regional birds.
It's a giant cancer in competitive too. It's overcentralzing the meta harder than Lando-T could ever wish to do. Needs a nerf asap.

And I'm sorry to break this to you, but Dragapult was no less well received in Japan as most others were, barring perhaps Kommo-o. Moreover, if the same psychology at play with Lando-T turns out to hold true for the crow, or anything for that matter, it'll only mean people care less about it in the same positive light, except to normalfags. I only see three mons that were revealed before the game came out.
All of them got a bunch of merch simply because they were revealed first.
And being revealed first doesn't mean jack shit with popularity. No one gives a shit about Eldegoss and Dreadnaw yet they get just as much merch as Corviknight.
