I'm back this time with some news of writing this fan Region

The Varmr Region(Based on Iceland)
A less technologically advanced region that sticks to themselves and even lacked a pokemon professor until recently.
Varmr's Pokemon league is more for entertainment and not taken seriously.

The Professor is not a respected person and has to do the job of other scientists outside her field of study, crowding her lab with not only her own equipment and bed, but a big fossil machine she has to maintain.

The evil Team is Team Haven, an organization collecting every species of Pokemon to take them to a world of safety.

The region has been recently rattled with bizarre distortions causing a rare return of Ultra Beasts first recorded in Alola only a few years prior along with new variants of pokemon unseen before.

The starters are
A Poet Fire/ghost Rat
An Artist pre-historic Grass/Dark goose (got this one to final stage figured out)
A dancing [insert semi aquatic creature possibly hippo]

early bird pokemon is a Shrike that evolves into a bearded vulture - Dark/Flying

Fossils are
Helicoprion - Rock/Steel
Endocerida - Rock/Poison

There's more, but I think this is enough before discussing ideas
