It's at like 5% usage it was very much overhyped. Most people dont want to waste a max on a mediocre attacker that needs its policy boost to do decent damage. I see more venusaur and trick room on the ranked ladder than max lap

Because for singles that was true- Gmaxes are almost always worse than Dmax in singles. But Smogon banned the concept entirely, so nobody who plays singles cares shout Dynamax anymore.

In doubles, the niche effects from Gmax are a lot more useful, so nobody’s complaining.
