Popular thing generates more popularity by default. Notice how much of a meme drawing porn of every freshly released pokemon or pokegirl minutes after the announcement became over time. It doesn't matter if they are even actually fit for that porn or not, as long as they are from the franchise. Drawing popular characters like that is a great advertisement for every artist, that's why you see everyone drawing Pokemon, FGO, Kancolle/Azur Lane and so on, even if they don't give a single fuck about those series and characters otherwise.
