That'd be fine. It'd be great if Game Freak would make EV's and IV's visible and actually explain them to the player. Just display the damn variables.

you could implement point buy and still have the max # of EVs remain the same
you can simulate point buy in the real games if you have enough vitamins or hyper training bags, it's just really fucking obnoxious

OP means EVs being spendable stat points at the end of a level as opposed to just automatically being applied and decided by whatever Pokemon you thought, not a "You levelled up! Add to whatever stat you'd like!"
