Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX (a remake of the original PMD games, Red and Blue Rescue Team) was released for Switch on March 6, 2020. A free demo is available in the eshop if you’re still not sure about getting the full game. Progress carries over into the full game.
Also, doing the simple tutorials in Makuhita's Dojo in the demo can net you good rewards, including a gold ribbon that sells for big money, so be sure to check that out.

Found a way of warping floors. Could be useful in rescuing people on level 99 of the uber hard dungeons (assuming you actually get to the correct floor and it's not just what it says at the bottom of the map - for this current map my rescued pokemon and the floor matches up). On floor 1, search exact value 1, on floor 2 search exact value 2 and repeat until you have sufficiently narrowed down the values. Then just change the exact value to the floor you want. Pic related for yuzu. Probably works for them hacked switches too.

I played Red Rescue Team late last year before running through Sky and was just as surprised at the shortness of the main quest as people in this thread are now. The truth of the matter is, the game is just a lot easier and a lot faster when you're not a dumb kid. Even in the original, the main story was really just a tutorial. It's just difficult to notice that when you're a kid.

I have been thinking about pokemon ids. What might happen with evolution is that the pokemon in the slot evolves and changes from one id to another. If the evolution is like 3 stages, maybe if you searched for some unknown value, searched for an increased value (?of one?), then evolved it again you'd be able to find out where the id is and use that to make custom starters. But if it worked, figuring out where it is is a big issue. Note that Reviver Seeds were extremely easy to grind in Super since you could buy 5 of them at once from Cofagrigus for a single gold bar.
The grotto seems to be a replacement for that.
