>>42989620I can vaguely understand why they wouldn't want to have to pay for voice actors in all the various languages due to how much it would add to their "budget," but that's a piss poor excuse to not have voice acting, especially with the overabundance of cutscenes and forced textboxes of characters blabbing off at you.
I got a used copy of Sword yesterday and watching all of these cutscenes having their only source of audio being the music is so awkward, especially if you use the audio settings to prioritize sound effects over music.
I bet the closest thing to voice acting they'll ever implement is simlish-tier gibberish and it would be seen as "charming" instead of lazy.
