I play through the main game... Do some post-game battle tower equivalent if its fun but usually never end up finishing because of the utter time sink
Been playing gen 8 OU on and off as well
Never been a collector autismo. The only game I finished the regional dex in was Diamond. I dunno man, I don't understand why its praised so much on /vp/ to be a living dexfag or a dex completionist. It takes no skill, its all autism. Whats so fun about spending hours going around the map turn 1 quickballing? Would rather be doing something more engaging

Competitive battling is less neet than completionism (besides maybe ribbon collecting). There's at least some level of strategy involved.

I'm a collector autist, but I don't spend hours hatching eggs or levelling up to ridiculous levels. I simply hatch new mons or inject them from old runs and evolve them with SAV editors and shit. I also duplicate my adventure teams and make them competitive viable with max IVs and custom EV distribution so I can immediately play the Battle Frontier or PWT instead of spending hours just hatching eggs and other hours into grinding.

So i am forced to do the long-ass "postgame" in order to reach battle tower which actually requires perfect breed which also requires to visit an obscure dungeon somewhere in the sea so that the tamer has a 10% to give a destiny knot. We're not autist, but that doesn't make us npcs.
