>>43005378been tweaking this disgusting chart for a while now, basically it would be for a pokemon ripoff kind of game which drops pretty much everything Japanese when it comes to type matchups and does it mostly based on intuition and ingame lore, for instance fungus weakens bolt because inlore underground funguses feed off of electricity producing stones (and monsters who do that sometimes) while not being harmed very much by them as a result, which when combined with how fungus is usually found in the dirt produces a bolt resistance as well.
The "martial" and "toxic" type are both pure offensive types meaning a pokemon can't have them as a defensive typing, the way STAB is gained on these types is through an "offensive type" system where many mon's gain a second or third STAB which goes along with their one or two defensive typing stabs.
In an expansion of these typings each one would have their own passive or offensive ability which all mon's with that type defensively or all attacks of that type would have. For instance all electric attacks can inflict something similar to paralysis, while mon's with electric as a defensive typing would gain a minor chance to inflict it when hit with a super effective or KO'ing attack.
Please feel free to rip it apart with criticism as it definitely needs major rebalancing. My biggest issue with it right now is that there are only 3 natural immunities and perhaps there should be more.
