Regarding gen 5, I genuinely and honest to god love its dex, there's not a single Unovamon I dislike (that's why when I started coming here shortly after the game released I was surprised, and still am, that so many people hate it. I can't see what they see), the game felt genuinely challenging for once and overall I just really like the whole feel to it. The story, the characters, the way you progressed, it just hit the right spots with me. As for gen 6, I mean just XY. I had never had so much fun with a Pokemon game before in my life, I know it's riddled with flaws and super incomplete plus being very easy, but I can't help it. Had a blast during the main game, customization was the best we've ever had, the OST was incredible, and thanks to the PSS and Amie I actually felt like I had a reason to keep playing. I had never bothered with battling/breeding/trading in previous gens but in XY it was fun to do so, was also the first time I ever bothered to complete the dex. Kalos as a region is also very beautiful and oftentimes I'd boot the game up simply to stroll around.
I just really, really love both and even if they're constantly shat on it'll never change my views on them.
