Is there a good reason as to why we are not allowed to choose which npcs come with us to a max raid? I am sick and tired of this child.

It would have been cool to have various NPCs around the region you could recruit for raids. Maybe some really good ones require a little sidequest or something to recruit.

Magikarp isn't even close to the worst of the NPCs. Magikarp at least attempts to whittle down shields unlike Solrock and Hawlucha

if they are going to give us useless npcs the least they could have done is allow us to chose who we want to bring.

even if we have to pay watts to get who we want or unlock trainers in the battle tower

We should have just been able to use 4 of our own pokemon. It's not like that would make it any easier than doing local coop where you can work together with 3 friends.
