Maybe he feels very pressured. After all, his gym isn't as popular or exciting as the others throughout Galaar.
Not only that but the only other band in Galaar, which is exclusively made up of Pokemon, also seems to be more popular than him considering they made a grand performance in the Galaar League while he didn't even sing one of his tunes. Poor Pier's probably thinks he's inferior to a bunch of stupid monsters!
That being said, he does need to eat something too. Give him a burger.
