So I’m aware Magikarp evolves into Gyarados and is super powerful. The thing is, Magikarp would need to survive long enough and train up to become such a fearsome creature. Unless it’s tamed, Magikarp shouldn’t stand a chance of surviving in the wild. Evolution and natural selection should’ve erased it from existence years ago causing its extinction. The only possible explanation is that Magikarp would be hiding something super powerful to ward off death. We just wouldn’t be able to witness it as humans. Back in season 1, I remember team rocket biting into a Magikarp and it’s scales were tough as heck. So what’s the best explanation for this?
