While I agree that Sword/Shield are rushjobs and Animal Crossing is looking to be a labor of love, this isn't a bad thing at all. Pokémon doesn't need any major changes to its formula. Don't fix what's not broken.

Animal crossing has like 12 unique models for all neighbors with 20 recolors each. Then every neighbor share the same animation since they have similar proportion.

I'd agree if Pokemon hasn't reached below that level already. in Past games it's bad enough they're so blatantly easy that you can steamroll with just your starter, with Sword & Shield you can now have a lv 100 who fully obeys you just by doing raids for about an hour.

At the very fucking least Animal Crossing doesn't give you everything you need and then congratulates you for it.
