It would have been better if Cinderace gmax was its normal form. The long ear looks really good on it and it would have saved the shitfest of that are gen 8 starters.

I have a suspicion that if megas come back in a later game, some existing gmax forms will be shrunk and retooled into megas, lore reason will be gigantamaxing being some derivative of mega evolution or some other low hanging lore fruit (which is fine by me)
