>>43055049Well, let's see... They'll definitely want to include something with gigantamax forms, definitely something Pokemon Company says is popular. Perhaps look at the popularity poll, we can see Dragapult, Toxtricity, Corviknight, Cinderace, and Inteleon as the most likely of the top 10 for Galar. However, also considering marketing and merch success, as well as trade and battle popularity of the pokemon, I feel like it simply takes out Dragapult. Looking more at the potential movesets behind each character, it takes out Corviknight (mostly since most of its moveset or animations would be extremely flying oriented and its animations would need it to always be flying, but the size of Ganondorf).
With this, we are left with Toxtricity, Cinderace, and Inteleon. Narrowing it further, we're aware that he's conscious of having characters too similar to one another, so he'll do everything in his power to make the moveset true to the character but unique enough to differ. Cinderace may end up becoming a Falcon/Fox-esque character with a projectile special and leg focus, but might end up being seen as redundant due to Charizard and Incineroar. Inteleon would be a bit too similar to Greninja and Snake combined. This leaves us with the conclusion that Toxtricity would be the addition. However, we may also see the others become pokeball pokemon.
Cinderace can come out and kick flaming balls at people, Rillaboom beating his drums and literally ensnaring anyone close by, Inteleon landing a heavy hitting snipe, Corviknight acting like an airborne Gogoat, Dragapult letting loose two Dreepy periodically that chase opponents, Urshifu being a background stage gimmick, Zarude acting like a ranged Zoroark, and Sirfetch'd acting like a Wobbuffet.
