I've played both Sun and Moon, and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon once each, so I've lost the taste for Alola. I played both X and Y back in 2014-15 too, and I haven't touched them since. I was just curious about how much time you've put into them. I personally feel like the 3DS era doesn't have as much replayability as the DS or the GBA era.

I played Moon 4 times. I only played Ultra Sun once only because I was wasting my time with breeding competitive mons so I didn't restart the file until recently. Believe it or not I never had an issue with cutscenes in gen 7 so I can replay them perfectly fine.

I find it strange that so many people had a problem with the cutscenes but I never found them to be an issue at all with the one exception being soft resetting for female popplio in Moon. It makes me feel like I have more patience than the average person

I already had Sun and Ultra Sun, but I had a friend that worked at Toysrus back when they were going out of business and he got me Moon and Ultra Moon for cheap.

Then you must have more patience than most people Anon, it was pretty bad when I played them. It might be a different story though, since it has been almost over 2 years since then.

I didn't really mind them on my first playthrough, particularly for Sun since I really enjoyed its story but they just ruin the pace for me on replays, they aren't total deal breakers though

I never played Pokemon Sky. I have it sitting on a back shelf. The problem is I have 300 games on my Steam backlog that I can't be bothered to pull out my 3ds unless I am going on vacation. And that isn't happening anytime soon.

Really unsure between ORAS and XY. I know neither of these have good postgame content. Would have definitely played ORAS if it had battle frontier. Won't play Emerald because of the dated graphics and no physical/special split. Plus I wanna try mega evos. I only have time for one (.
Can any anons help choose between XY and ORAS now?

ORAS makes more sense if you play RSE first, and Emerald is still one of the top 5 games in the franchise (PT, HGSS, E, BW2, C).
If you MUST skip Emerald, then just flip a coin on XY/ORAS.
