But it serves as an okay reference for my purposes. But my personal style for the story this image is meant to represent is a blend of realism and the anime, somewhat animesque while also having a strong focus of realism. In short, something that tries to avert what some people define as the uncanny valley. This sketch obviously doesn't do so, but the image in my head blurs the line between reality and the anime, to give "humanity" to the Pokemon presented therein as sapient beings, separate from their more feral cousins who take a decidedly more vicious look to them.

Honestly, it's rough. But it serves its purpose to demarcate between ferals and civils in this story. I hope to illustrate more scenes with Cera moving forward, provided I can get off my ass to write the next few chapters.
