The fossils are an outlier though, it’s clear their dex entries were intentionally written wrong because if it was known they were abominations and suffering, using them in-universe would probably be illegal. Maybe even Cara Liss wrote them.

We literally had this thread yesterday.
The pokedex automatically records data from the pokemon and creates an entry. This also explains the galar fossil entries, because the pokedex thinks they literally existed and doesn't know they are man made abominations.

Wouldn’t be surprised if that’s because they didn’t model a statue of them and were too lazy, so they copy pasted rocks instead. Considering how rushed the game was, that’s definitely what happened.
