Because you start pissing your diaper while rolling on the floor if pokémon doesn't release a main game every two years. If this fanbase would be okay with 2-5 years of no releases we wouldn't have rushed products.
And no, just pouring more money and resources into a dev team doesn't magically make a software come out arbitrarily faster.

It's telling Pokémon allow you to choose up to 8 different ways to experience their game, yet you only get one island for 8 profiles in AC.
It's even more telling after people crying for so long over pokémon they latch onto anything in desperation to shitpost the devs are "better" than Game Freak, when they delayed it and STILL couldn't give more than ONE ISLAND PER SWITCH UNIT.

Not him, but I literally could not care less about 1 island per switch. No problem whatsoever to me, I never wanted more than 1.

Pokemon's cuts and garbage new features and visuals is what tanked it for me. And the content cuts in NH is significantly more upsetting to me than 1 island now.

Reminder that Gamefreak had nothing to do with that, daddy Nintendo had to go clean up their shit and managed to do it efficiently enough to pack an entire second region in. GF have been inept from the very beginning
