I'd flip a coin between treecko and charmander, don't really have a preference.

As for sobble, while it's very cute, the middle and final evos are crap unfortunately.

Treecko ≥ Sobble > Charmander
Sceptile is a pretty cool looking reptile, don’t care for the mega much, the only other grass starter I’d use is Torterra the rest just don’t interest me. Inteleon is a spy lizard that has a nice balance between suave and silly, I like it. And while I don’t dislike Charizard it’s still pretty vanilla.
