>>43085839As a non-coomer, non-waifufag, I come to this thread to give my unbiased opinion. Design wise, I think Hatterene is much more aesthetically pleasing, unless we count Mega-G in the equation, in that case then that one’s superior. So Mega-G>Hat>Garde.
Now, lore wise, Gardevoir is infinitely better. A companion that genuinely cares for you, your well being, your happiness, is loyal and would never allow harm to come your way. I understand Hat’s lore being specially fitting for the “wood witch” trope and while it’s cool when you think about her as a monster, as a companion, it’s just awful. And no, I don’t mean companion as in wife, I mean like Pokemon who actually are your companions (Grimsley and his Purrloin, Korrina and her Lucario, etc). In that regard, having a Pokemon who doesn’t give a single shit about you and won’t hesitate to beat the crap out if you is just bad. Even irl a partner like that is just plain bad.
So bottom line, while Hat is prettier, Gardevoir is the true Pokemon/friend/companion/wife/whatever one should want to have by their side.
