Wrong, stupid shitposter.
PMD DX added auto battles, removed IQ, removed the basic attack (or carried it over since Super) and it also made it way easier to add new partners to your team, since you don't have to buy friend areas.

Everyone keeps praising the art style, and while it does look really nice and cute and whatever...the 3D models just kind of ruin it? They just don't look like they belong and they took me out of the experience for a bit, easy to ignore but still.

FRLG might be more comparable. It also didn’t take anything from Yellow and yet no one complained.
The problem with ORAS is that it was the 3rd remake and it did less than the first 2 while the remake before it took elements from both Yellow AND Crystal. Morimoto basically spoiled us.
For the first mystery dungeon remake, it does its purpose - to update the first games.
