None of these actually matter though good animations are nice to have.
What the game needs are good routes, good dungeons, challenging battles, and at least an attempt at balance.

I thought some of galar's and alola's routes were actually pretty good but yeah I agree with you on battles. They need to make a game where most of the trainers have at least 3 pokemon per team and use held items like focus sash so the player can't OHKO everything

ultralola story is dogshit. lillie's "arc" is dumb as all hell and she's the only character that changes other than revive dispenser and the Ben10 OC.
the entire pacing of the tension was dropped directly after acerola's trial and lasted all of 20 minutes. beat guzma, go to aether, beat dommy bitch, go to poni, go to alter, necrozma sweeps you.

You're not wrong, but it hurts knowing Pokemon hit the peak of its graphical fidelity in SM and they'll just keep bumping up the resolution and switching the Pokemon shaders now instead of making any step forward.
It hurts more since the games are still shit even though the "it's their first attempt! give them some slack!" excuse shouldn't work anymore.

I'd like voice acting if it was restricted to the battle commentator from Stadium, SWSH really suffered from that because they want for that approach but never fully commit to it.
Also that gay crow cheering being an actual part of the song is fucking stupid
