>>43098799The actual anime is definitely worse, but that sort of has the built-in excuse that it's literally built from the ground up to be a commercial for the games, toys, card game, etc. Yeah it sucks by any reasonable standard, but honestly, the joke's on you if you're watching it with any actual expectations.
While stuff like Origins and Generations are ever-so-slightly better, they definitely make me angrier because they were a chance to really cut loose and show us something cool. I seriously think the only memorable thing in Generations was when the police conducted a raid on a presumed Rocket hideout using Pokemon as their "equipment/weapons", and the only worthwhile part of Origins was the decently choreographed and animated fight between Mega Charizard and Mewtwo (even that was just a passable anime fight though -- seriously a dime a dozen these days).
