How long do you think they'll milk the DLC cow for? Will they leave it at just these two, or will they shit out another 2 next year instead of a full game?

The dlc is going to have new characters, mons, moves, items, abilities and gigantomax. it will easily cover another year of VGC, TCG, merch and anime (that is not even in galar anyway right now)

You forget a new game release will earn them far much more than ANY DLC package could do and that's without even considering Nintendo want Pokémon to push hardware units as well as software sales. A new game does that more competently than another DLC suite for an already-released game can or will ever do.
They already told you they don't consider you when making their games any more, why do you think they'd suddenly drop that angle, just because they were canny enough to realise they couldn't get away with releasing a $60 upper version of a game on Switch as they had done on the handhelds?
