The fact he keeps getting shinies but at the same time always on his PC whenever a new updates happen make it clear that his account is rigged to spawn pokemon beside him and has higher chances for shinies.
I don't think it's normal for someone to get a shiny everyday at morning and night like him unless he's 24/7 outside home but this can't be true either.
