Because of previous patches for New Leaf which made significant changes and added convenient new features, I'm confident they could easily add in features like mass crafting and accessing your storage from indoor craft tables, because the devs of AC have proven they are willing to go an extra mile to improve quality of life features.
Meanwhile GF at most will trickle in tiny changes at the price of DLC and will ultimately refuse to make significant changes till next gen because they are a mix of stubborn and lazy.

I almost wonder if Animal Crossing never really needed the 3 month delay and they were just bullshitting so they wouldn't have another "Nintendo has nothing good for the first quarter of an entire year" situation like they had happen twice on Switch already. When you think about it, Hardware sales is all about momentum right? Having two big games release so close is not maybe the best idea.

Literally everything in the DLC appeals only to the hardcore fan. It'll sell like shit and I'm sure it'll lead to GF going back to third versions after this since they're easier to sell to general audience.

OP you can’t really say that Pokémon got its ass torn open just because Animal Crossing sold really well. I’ll break it down for you. Keep in mind I’m neither defending for or against Pokémon. This is just logic.

Animal Crossing and Pokémon are both owned by Nintendo.

Animal Crossing sold really well yes, but so did the combined sales of Sword and Shield.

Pokémon is still much more profitable from a business standpoint. The culture in Japan surrounding Pokémon is much larger than in other countries, including a weekly tv discussion show.

Saying Animal Crossing sold really well doesn’t dictate that it is crushing Pokémon. Both different genres and they’re both games I’m sure the majority of players own both.

Tl;dr just because animal crossing sold so well on opening day doesn’t negate the fact that Pokémon Sword and Shield’s combined sales sold very well also.

Normies play for the story. Guess what the vast majority of content in the DLC is. We get an expanded story, and some Pokemon that wouldnt be available otherwise without Home. Now between normies, and compfags, who do you think is more likely to be transferring their past generation mons to Home?
