We have reached a point where more than 800 creatures exist, so unique silhouettes and ideas are entirely necessary to get the most out of the new additions to the series. If Sandaconda didn't have the whole shtick with the shotgun nose and the rolled up body people would shit on it for being just a snake, and rightfully so.
"Look cool monster!" is fucking boring and fucking nothing at this point, and if you can't see that, well, that is not anyone's problem, since thankfully you'll never be calling the shots in this franchise.
