Basic design says you're not supposed to use solid black as a primary color when designing a character, so you use a bluish tone instead. Using full black as a large primary color on a design is retarded as it renders any details or shading moot, and makes an image appear flat. Man, imagine if GF was so idiotic that they released mon that was solid black, especially after they've had several games to figure out how 3d modeling and character designing works.
