each of the starters are viable for their own reasons:
chikorita is for if you are female or just want to play on hard mode.
totodile is if you like pressing A a lot without thinking, as you only choose the pokemon that look cool

with the multiple ways you can use typhlosion, choosing him will always be entertaining and new.
cyndaquil is also more fitting for the canon.
