DOOM Eternal actually forces you to engage, forces you to think on your feet and fight (I initially played DOOM on Switch as my PC wouldn't run it at the time and there was no challenge after a while and the combat got VERY samey, to the point I haven't even gone back and fully played it on PC, I haven't even scratched the surface of DOOM Eternal and I'm already enjoying it far much more than I ever did 2016, though I am on PC now and that may be an issue, don't play FPS on sticks and using sticks in DOOM was annoying to me) and not just run around with 2 weapons like the halo-clones conditioned the zoomers to do.
