What is GameFreaks problem with reaching 1000 Pokemon that they have to pretend regional forms aren't new Pokemon? They have different typings, stats, movepools, evolution requirements, and breeding rules. They're doing the same thing with branched evolutions. Had Lycanrock been made before Gen 7 it would be rightfully recorded as a branched evolution, If Eevee had debuted in Gen 7+ they would call all the evolutions "Eeveeon-Fire Form" etc. What about the number 1000 are they so scared of?
