>>43147644>Hoenn and JohtoJohto just had Corsola, and soon to be Slowking.
Hoenn had Zigzagoon and Linoone.
Unova had Darumaka, Darmanitan (both forms), Stunfisk, Yamask, and an alternate regional form to Cofagrigus.
Unova clearly got more focus than Hoenn or Johto in regional forms. Also, so far the only non-Gen 1, non-Gen 8, non-Mythical Gigantamax is a Gen 5 Pokemon. They didn't choose anything from Gens 2-4 or 6, yet they chose a Gen 5 Pokemon.
>James Turner associated with Gen 5 just because it's his debutJames Turner designed many of the Gen 5 Pokemon, and he is the art director for these games. Also, every non-Legendary, non-UB Pokemon Turner ever designed is in the base SWSH Pokedex and game.
>Largest Pokemon total just so happens to have the largest Pokemon in the Galar Pokedex. And are you going to call the BW2 Pokedex Hoenn pandering?Unova has the largest percentage of Pokemon in the base SWSH dex by percentage: 21.3% of the entire SWSH dex is Gen V. Kanto (Gen I) is 13.3%, and Hoenn (Gen III) is 10.5%, respectively of the dexes.
This is not just a matter of Unova having the biggest dex so it gets the biggest percentage. It has much more Pokemon overall in the SWSH base dex than Kanto and Hoenn, even when they have almost the same number of Pokemon total. There are more Pokemon in the dex that are from Gen V than actual new Pokemon from SWSH. Unova clearly has a lot of favoritism in these games.
