i think its a neat concept for a ghost type
i think rotom was maybe possibly considered to be a legendary or mythical before having its stats nuked before release, hence the legendary pokemon battle music during its encounter
im glad it isnt

They didn't. When Gen III came out they made jokes about Rotom Flip Phones, but the furthest they went was Rotom forms.

The Rotom Pokedex was a clever spin on the Yo-Kai Watch's Whisper, who is basically the same thing.

The Rotom Phone is a lazy idea because you can't improve on the Rotom Pokedex. So all you have are smartphones with Rotom face cases. They're a downgrade in every way from a fully sentient AI.
